A large pergola which is now covered with grapevines and wisteria was designed to first create an architectural break between the first story of stone and second of shingles and second to bring guests to the front door from the driveway. The pergola is lit from above with low voltage landscape lighting providing adequate moonlighting to lead the visitor to the front door in the evening. Beneath the arbor is an irregular bluestone walk through a garden complete with teak bench.
